Children and young people come into care for many reasons. Some because of illness in the family, others because of difficulties in relating, some have experienced physical abuse, neglect, or sexual abuse. Coming into care will mean that they have also experienced loss & separation from their families. These children will need a safe and nurturing home environment. Foster care is a way of providing a family life for children who cannot live with their own parents.
